In the construction sector filter presses are often used to dewater sludge from bore holes, tunnel construction, highway rehabilitation or simply from grinding and cutting operations during house renovations. Imagine a building without passenger lift during renovation where at the end of the day you are left with a ton of sludge at the sixth floor or an automatic cutting of expansion joints on a highway where water supply is far away. Sludge filtration by means of smaller or larger filter presses allows for re-using up to 80% of the squeezed-out water.
